Equipment, mats and change rooms
Gym and fitness centre cleaning.
A gym is a high-touch, high-humidity building, which is an unusual combination. Every grip and handle is a contact point touched by dozens of people a day, and the change rooms and showers stay damp enough to grow what damp rooms grow. Members forgive a lot, but they do not forgive a change room that smells, and that is usually what ends a membership.

What the job includes.
Equipment contact points
Handles, grips, benches, rails and screens. The surfaces every member touches.
Mats and studio floors
Cleaned and sanitised to suit the surface, including rubber and sprung flooring.
Change rooms and lockers
Benches, locker exteriors and the floor beneath, where damp collects.
Showers and wet areas
Descaled and treated for mould and mildew, which is the recurring problem in this building type.
Washrooms and consumables
High-frequency servicing and restocking.
Mirrors, glass and reception
The surfaces that decide whether a prospective member signs.
How it runs.
-
Cleaned around class timetables
Studio work scheduled between bookings; main floor overnight or in off-peak windows.
-
Contact points treated separately
Equipment has its own pass with its own product, not the same cloth as the floor.
-
Wet areas on a tighter cycle
Showers and change rooms get more frequent attention than the gym floor, because they need it.
What changes the price.
Quotes are free and given in writing after we have seen the space. These are the things that actually move the number.
Member volume
Contact points are the work, and they scale with people through the door, not floor area.
Wet areas
Showers and change rooms need a tighter cycle than the gym floor and carry the odour risk.
Opening hours
24-hour sites are cleaned in off-peak windows rather than a closed building.
Questions we get asked.
Will your products damage the equipment?
No. Equipment gets manufacturer-appropriate product. The wrong disinfectant degrades vinyl upholstery and screen coatings, which is an expensive way to save on cleaning.
Can you clean 24-hour gyms?
Yes. We are open 24 hours and work off-peak windows rather than needing the building closed.
How do you deal with change room odour?
By treating the cause rather than masking it: drains, grout, under-bench floor and shower corners. Odour that persists after cleaning is usually ventilation, and we will say so.
Do you handle sauna and steam rooms?
Yes, with surface-appropriate methods. Cedar and steam-room surfaces need specific handling and will not tolerate general-purpose product.
